LeDu "Wanderer" (California, USA) - See all my reviews First, it relies on an ear bud that is incapable of handling the microphone extension. I had to hold the earpiece in place while using it. I might as well have used a conventional phone. This could be corrected by attaching an ear-loop piece that would hold the unit in place. Second, the volume in the ear piece is inadequate. I tried to increase the volume using both the computer settings and the Magic Jack settings. Nothing worked. I can hear, provided the room is silent, the person on the other end is clear and speaks loudly, and I pay very close attention. I will not be using this unit. In fact, my Magic Jack works better using the microphone and speaker on my laptop -- something I was trying to improve with the MIni Jack. 2 of 3 people found the following review helpful  Great idea but exceptionally poor quality, By This review is from: Mini-Jack Universal VoIP Phone (Wireless Phone Accessory) I got this at Frys for $10 to work with magicjack. It looked like the perfect design for it - small, portable, completely self contained (mini boom mic -earpiece combo, small dialpad) . The problem is that if you move it, even lightly touch the talk button, or even lightly move the connection, there is noticeable crackling like there is a short or bad connection. The earpieve has a thin wire that plugs into the base and it is so poorly designed, you get extermely bad crackling sound if the wire is moved even slightly - the connection must be made of the lowest quality materials.Also, since the earpiece cable is very very thin, it's probably likely to break with heavy use unless you are very careful not to pull it alot. Overall, the quality is just plain cheap: cheap plastic held together by a tiny Chinese screw; cheap connections that result in annoying crackle/static; flimsy cables. .
